Along the German river Moselle

Along the German river Moselle

The small village Trittenheim in Germany is situated alongside the river Moselle and surrounded by numerous vineyards. Trittenheim is an ideal starting point for trips alongside the Moselle and gives opportunity to take landscape photographs, but also from Roman monuments in the nearby city Trier.

Hiking to the Ludwigsburger Hütte (Pitztal)

Hiking to the Ludwigsburger Hütte (Pitztal)

On a nice sunny day in 2014 we hiked to the Ludwigsburger Hütte, a mountain cabin in the Pitztal valley. The hike starts in the small village Zaunhof-Gruble at the parking place of the Ludwigsburger Hütte. We followed an historical pathway towards the cabin through the forest. During the hike there are some beautiful views on the surrounding mountains and the Pitztal valley.

Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road

Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road

During our holidays in the past years in Austria we crossed several times the border to visit Italy. Our favorite route is taking the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road at the end of the Ötztal in Austria to South Tirol in Italy. When the weather is right it is possible to take some beautiful photos from the surrounding mountains and valleys, like the Seebertal at the Italian side.
