During our holiday in 2011 we made a roadtrip through a part of the Dolomites in Italy. These mountains are visually completely different from the mountains in the Alps as can be seen for example in Austria. Alongside the Sella pass road the mountain Langkofel can be seen.

Over time we made some images from the city Groningen located in the Netherlands. The city has a well known university and as such a lot of students are living in the city using their main transport vehicle; the bicycle. The buildings in the city are a mix of old and modern architecture.
Salzwedel is a town in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany with a very nice historic part having numerous half-timbered houses (some of them from the Middle Ages). The historic city is partly encompassed by the historic city wall and town gates.
The small village Trittenheim in Germany is situated alongside the river Moselle and surrounded by numerous vineyards. Trittenheim is an ideal starting point for trips alongside the Moselle and gives opportunity to take landscape photographs, but also from Roman monuments in the nearby city Trier.
The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle is a botanical garden located in the town of Merano (Meran) in northern Italy. It is nestled into a twelve-hectare amphitheatre with an altitude differential of 100 meters. The garden consists of different landscapes containing plants from all over the world. It has a lot of opportunities to take photos of flowers, plants and pieces of art.
Hike to the Ludwigsburger Hütte, a mountain cabin in the Pitztal valley, via a historical pathway. Beautiful views on the surrounding mountains and the Pitztal valley.
During our holidays in the past years in Austria we crossed several times the border to visit Italy. Our favorite route is taking the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road at the end of the Ötztal in Austria to South Tirol in Italy. When the weather is right it is possible to take some beautiful photos from the surrounding mountains and valleys, like the Seebertal at the Italian side.
